Bloodiest year in the West Bank

Israeli forces, which have been raiding across the West Bank almost daily since the beginning of this year, frequently target Palestinian civilians in these raids.

According to the data released by the United Nations (UN), 2022 has been recorded as “the bloodiest year in the West Bank” since the UN began keeping records in the region in 2005.

Accordingly, by 29 November 2022, 205 Palestinians were killed, 153 of them in the West Bank and 52 of them in Gaza. Children accounted for 47 of these deaths.

The UN noted that these deaths were “in most cases for what appears to be the disproportionate and lethal use of force by Israeli security forces”.
